These challenges evolve and require transformative solutions through next generation tools, smart and innovative materials, strategies to reduce environmental impacts, improved structural safety and reliability, sustainable preservation of structures,and improving competitiveness of the structural engineering profession. 

The 21st ASEP International Convention (AIC 2023) highlights structural and civil engineers as they address "Transforming Solutions to Evolving Challenges of the 21ST Century."
